Assist with the implementation and enforcement of health and safety strategies and policies to minimize and remove accidents, work related illness and injuries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct continuing education to provide and update knowledge of health and safety protocols and techniques.
Enforce compliance of health and safety policies and rules to achieve zero fatality on all sites.
Conduct daily inspection of facilities to identify potential hazards and recommend solutions to prevent injuries or illness in the workplace.
Investigate and report on causes of accidents and other unsafe conditions on the job site.
Provide management information by preparing and submitting weekly and monthly reports to project leadership.
Maintaining records of accidents, complaints, maintenance activities, inspections, and other activities related to environmental health and safety.
Ensures that costs are kept within the approved budget limit.
Trains staff on emergency response procedures and carries out periodic drills and exercises to test efficacy of the emergency response procedures.
