    Facilitator

    To work alongside leading London-based academics in facilitating the effective stream-out delivery of the London College of International Business (LCIBS) BSc (Hons) Business course from LCIB’s London Hub.

    MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:   

    • To assisting with high quality student interface and interaction with the lecturers and students in the LCIBS London Hub and assisting and nurturing the students in break out learning sessions and tutorials
    • To facilitate student learning in breakout groups – using such as case studies, exercises and preparation of presentations.
    • To develop learning reinforcement and enhancement activities to help students build understanding of their modules.
    • Show initiative in providing creative and innovative support to students across all dimensions of their learning process and activities
    • To partner / work with London-based lecturers to achieve high level retention and success rates.
    • Be well organized with sound planning skills and ability to meet deadlines
    • Provide academic guidance to support and assist students in the areas of academic achievement and educational development.

    REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:

    •    BSc in Business Management or Related Subject.
    •    Postgraduate qualification in business or teaching or ICT is desirable.

      Experience:

    •    Some teaching experience – preferably in business, management or related subject.
    •    Experience of using digital technologies as a teaching tool.
    •    High level business awareness capability – including prior business or organization work experience.
    •    Excellent computer literacy is essential especially in MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel.

    •      Planning and organizing competencies
    •      Excellent Interpersonal and Managerial Skills
    •      Ability to work as part of a team, with business lecturers and young undergraduates.
    •      Ability to provide effective tutoring and facilitating support to a group of demanding students – including as part of a ‘streamed-in’ teaching and learning process
    •      Good attention to detail.
    •      Good communication skills especially verbal and written English.
    •     Able to work independently
    •      Ability to function in a highly pressurized environment
