Market Development Executive at CBI Ghana Ltd

Job purpose

The Market Developer is responsible for selling cement bags through the retail channel across a particular Region. In this role, you must develop and grow an active base of cement retailers -- either operating out of their own shops or containers.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Aggregate sales volumes for Sales Rep to order and deliver through a distributor
2. Visit all retailers within assigned territory
3. Sell a target number of bags monthly through the retail channel
4. Brand a target number of retailers
5. Stay within BTL budget target
6. Keep retail price per bag within target
7. Maintain high customer satisfaction among retailers
8. Supply management with reports on competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
9. Train Shop Attendants on Supacem products and basic bookkeeping.

Qualifications

1. Experience building and/or managing retail channels
2. Experience recruiting and/ managing distributors
3. Strong interpersonal skills
4. Hardworking, persistent, and dependable
5. Positive and enthusiastic
6. Able to ride a motor bike
7. At least 1 year sales experience
8. Resides / willing to move to the Eastern region

Working conditions

This job requires a person to work in a high-pressure role with massive expectations. It involves a disproportionate amount of work in the market with challenging clients and leading and motivating a high-performing retail sales team spread throughout Ghana.
