Mechanical Engineer at CA Global Africa Recruitment

Responsibilities:

• Providing engineering maintenance and asset management support across the company’s operations in Africa to ensure maximum asset value, reliability, optimisation and utilisation.
• Advising on all matters related to Pumping, Ventilation, Cooling / Refrigeration, Hoisting, Compressed Air and Mining Mechanical Equipment including HME.
• Developing mechanical and engineering risk mitigation strategies through continuous evaluation.
• Ensuring zero harm to employees or damage to machinery and equipment through technical excellence strategies.
• Budgeting, cost optimisation and control.
• Developing and implementing best practices.
• Optimisation of equipment shutdown planning, execution and commissioning.
• Providing technical assistance and expertise to maintenance and engineering teams.
• Project support to ensure technical and commercial appropriateness of design, operability, optimal functionality, and maintainability.
• Discipline assurance and governance.
• Evaluating and implementing new technology.
• Internal and external stakeholder engagement and company representation.

 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Mechanical Engineering Degree.
• Post graduate qualification in Engineering or Asset Management.
• Professional Registration.
• 10 years previous experience in mining equipment engineering maintenance including both fixed and mobile equipment.
• Experience in planning and maintenance of mechanical engineering infrastructure to ensure Integrity over the life of mine.
• Commercially astute.
• Strong business improvement and change management expertise.
