Product Manager - Financial Services at Vodafone Ghana

Role Purpose

• The role will be to drive the strategy creation and execution within the Vodafone Cash Commercial Team.
• This includes ensuring co-creation with Financial Institutions and alignment of the roadmap and maintaining customer centricity throughout.
• The role requires that, you lead such partnerships to drive active customers adopting affordable financial services and roadmap execution. 

Job Responsibility

• Spearhead the strategy to achieve Vodafone Cash’s vision to create access to financial services
• Build, lead and drive innovation across the financial services portfolio
• Champion customer centricity across the portfolio; ensure the voice of customers across different segments is central to new product development 
• Spearhead strategic partnerships to catalyse the growth of the financial services ecosystem
• Lead key negotiations to create win-win partnerships and grow the pipeline
• Rally the team and other product creation colleagues to unblock issues and drive timely results
• Support the resolution of regulatory blockers to drive regulatory approvals for product releases
• Drive a relentless focus on the feedback loop and performance to refine platform capabilities, product offerings and the execution approach 
• Establish strong relationships with banks and other financial institutions, built on trust 
• Drive the sharing of best practice in product development to ensure co-creation through the product lifecycle and alignment on the vision of providing affordable Financial services to our clients

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

• >5 years of experience, ideally with a bank or financial service provider
• Strong knowledge of mobile money, fintech and financial services
• Experience of product development and management; especially within agile methodologies
• Understanding of regulatory environment and future direction of regulation
• Analytical bent of mind, structured thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to say “no”
• Results-driven self-starter
• Solid influencing and negotiation skills 
• Bachelor’s degree required
