Research Specialist & Data Analyst at TXT Ghana

Report to: Head, Innovations and Product Strategy

Job Purpose:

To lead the development of a research strategy for TXT Ghana, covering B2B and B2C customer insights, industry trends, competitor monitoring and insights, as well as tech trends and opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a research strategy for the company and propose annual budgets for research based on the business plan.
• Conduct agreed research projects by coordinating internal and external resources, including partnerships with research firms.
• Manage the entire end-to-end process from Research Objectives, Target Respondents, and Methodology, as well as data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Generate strong customer insights for new opportunities to feed the company’s innovation pipeline.
• Analyze internal databases and provide proposals for detailed segmentation to allow more robust usage and create better value for our customers.
• Provide relevant monthly tech trends and insights to management and propose opportunities worth considering.
• Evaluate existing research strategies and recommend improvements.

Education/Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
• Professional qualification in a relevant field is an added advantage.
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in research development, methodologies, data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of statistics and statistical software is an advantage.
• Experience using open-source technologies.
