Senior Logistics Specialist at Elsewedy Electric

Job Description

• Ensuring that Logistics processes are being implemented properly from the qualitative and quantitative perspective, and according to the logistics general plans and deadlines.
• Applies and maintains Client's Contractual Agreements, through implementing and processing agreed Logistics operations & plans.
• Maintains Data flow and prepares required Analysis on regulatory standards, to Assist in Decision Making.
• Ensures implementation of Logistics strategy pertaining to overseas projects.
• Closely monitors and evaluates the overseas logistics delegates abroad.
• Receives Booking Order Form (BOF) instructions from the Logistics Operations Section Heads (OSH) for booking slots/spaces or certain numbers and types of containers via air or sea mode of shipping certain quantity of material items from certain Port of Loading (POL) to certain Port of Discharge (POD) at a certain time.
• Send Requests for Quotation (RFQ) to third-party logistics (3PL) or steam shipping Lines (SSL’s), negotiates/bargains for the best possible conditions as per Rate Target Policy (RTP) set by the Logistics Operations Manager (LOM.)
• Issues Shipping Declaration Form (SDF) to the contracted third-party logistics (3PL) or steam shipping Lines (SSL’s.)
• Issues Insurance Declaration Form (IDF) -pertaining to Air/Sea shipping operations only- prior to receiving the materials from a supplier or our warehouse.
• Receives/Collects shipping documents from couriered from suppliers, including Bills of Lading (Bs/L) even if printed directly from SSL’s or 3PL (as case requires.)
• Performs importation procedures required for Projects' Materials at the Port of Destination.
• Coordinates with the client and ensures that importation documents are issued properly.
• Coordinates with the Project or site manager for the distribution and storage operations of Materials to up to the nominated sites.
• Manages transportation of shipments from the port of discharge to the final site.
• Follows up on the payment request of Logistics 3rd Parties at the destination.
• Submits weekly statistical reports on Shipping Activities.
• Updates Shipping Quotations Form (SQF.)
• Provides required data and Logistics Quotations to help in global Logistics studies.
• Evaluates the Logistics Services Providers or 3rd Party Logistics (E.o.3PL) at destination.
• Evaluates the overseas logistics representatives abroad, and assist in raising their KPIs.
• Escalates problems with recommended solutions.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Education: Business Management, Other, Business Administration, Logistics.
• Years of Experience: 5-7 Years of experience
• Language: Good English speaking is a must
• Computer Skills: Very Good in Excel, Word, power point & MS Project
• Technical skills: Supply Chain Mgt., Global Trade (Export & Import), Marine & Air Chartering, Negotiations and communication skills, Insurance & Claims, Loss Management.
