    Markets and Customer Intelligence Officer

    What will your role be? 
    Reporting to the Head, Marketing and Customer Impact, the Markets and Customer Intelligence 
    Officer will be responsible for interpreting data, formulating reports and making recommendations based upon research findings. Tracks own and competitive brand imagery and marketplace performance and steward results to the marketing team and Management. 
    This  position  is  responsible  for  designing,  conducting,  and  managing  market  research  studies regarding Advans Ghana’s existing and proposed products and services as well as analysing market trends, consumer preferences, and market opportunities. 

    Market Intelligence Gathering 

    • Conducts  analysis  as  required  to  address  ad  hoc  business  questions  and  issues.  In addition, the Markets and Customer Intelligence Officer will assist with analytics and primary research studies with consumers and customers. 
    •  Assist  in  identifying  key  opportunities  to  build  brand  awareness,  expand  markets, drive sales, and introduce technological innovations that are aligned with customer’s needs. 
    •  Analyze  and  assess  present  and  future  needs,  trends,  challenges,  and  opportunities related to the Customers and Marketing Unit as well as the Sales & Distribution Unit 
    •  Use  data  from  information  systems  to  support  the  development  of  marketing  plans and evaluate the success of marketing and Commercial efforts 
    •  Assist Marketing with communicating with end users, focus groups, industry leaders to understand and document the business objectives 
    •  Conducting  in-depth  data  analyses  using  traditional  and  advanced  methods  and supporting the Reporting and Data Analysis team in analyzing the internal data.  
    •  Developing reports and making presentations when necessary. 

    Business and Strategy Development 

    •  Utilize strategic marketing processes to provide market segmentation analysis, consumer insights and needs assessment.  

    Marketing Support 

    •  Participate in some aspects of marketing communications (i.e., collateral, sales sheets, trade shows, etc.) working internally to determine needs and externally with agency to develop strategy and supporting products. 
    •  Building and maintaining customer pipeline to assist with sales direction and business development 
    •  Works collaboratively across the organization to obtain the data necessary for marketplace analysis and reporting.

    • Challenges Will be handling multiple projects simultaneously from time to time and deal with multiple partners and Agencies. 
    • May be working on weekends and off working hours and sometimes travel outside Accra for days on official duties. 

    What kind of profile are we looking for? 

    You have: 

    •  Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing and or Business. 
    •  2-4 years’ experience working with Sales, marketing operations, product marketing within a financial industry. 
    • Good understanding of the micro finance and or Savings and Loans establishment and knowledge of a variety of different research methods. 
    • Proficiency  in  use  of  general  Microsoft  office  suite  is  important.  Familiarity  with 
    • branding, marketing and communication theories and concept. Media relations familiarity.  
    • Strong writing skills

    The Recovery Officer


    • The Recovery Officer is responsible, under the supervision of the Head of Recovery (HoR) for all the activities of the Unit. He/She assists the HoR for the development of the Unit and all monies owed to Advans Ghana Savings and Loans
    • He/She also assist the HoR in the implementation of operational policies, procedures, guidelines and work on prevention, detection and correction of risks related to the above mentioned core activities. Most importantly prevent Advans Ghana from losing more than it has invested
    • He/She will be in charge of a portfolio of Non Accrual and Written Off loans and work closely with the CO to recover any amount owed to Advans. Officers will be assigned to a team.



    • To meet agreed performance targets and provide a quality service with a high level of Customer Care. To develop and operate effective working practices that promotes the smooth running of the Unit.
    • To be prepared to visit debtors to prompt payment and personally serve Demand Notices to debtors while adhering to Advans Ghana policies and procedures.
    • To develop and maintain a working knowledge of policies, procedures and guidance and to work with them. And be able to keep abreast of changes in legislature, national and local trends.
    • Must be able to investigate and locate absconded clients and recover any amount due.
    • To liaise directly with relevant external agencies, Police, Valuators, Auctioneers, Lawyers.
    • To identify risk and prevent fraudulent application by other team members as well as clients. And must be able to give advice on major risk issues on the market for implementation.
    • To ensure cash collection on payment control is administered in line with Audit requirements.
    • To take part in Performance Management reviews with the team leader to ensure that individual  targets are achieved to support the aims and objectives contained in the service plan
    • To promote and apply the standard and principles of Advans Ghana and manage resources ensuring that the delivery of services continue to be cost effective.
    •  To undertake other relevant duties that may be required.
