About the job

• DS Construction Limited manufactures & designs innovative, high-quality architectural balustrades, handrails and custom structures and features and is seeking an experienced Welding Fabricator and Installer who has attention to detail and the ability to produce precision-made stainless steel, aluminium and steel components and structures.
• This is a full-time, permanent position and is available for an immediate start (will wait for notice periods as required). 
• Welds stainless steel, aluminium, and steel components in both our factory workshops (architectural & mining products).
• Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
• Cuts, polishes, grinds all metals for precision fabrication
• Welds metal parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes.
• Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts.
• Works occasionally on building sites to install and weld balustrade handrails and other architectural structures including gates and fences.

Qualifications & experience

• Welding Certificate 1st or 2nd Class or at least 5-10 years work experience.
• Ability to read AutoCAD drawings.

Job Description

• We are looking for a hardworking and experienced Alucobond Installer/ Cladder with in-depth knowledge of aluminum composite panels installation and cladding process to join our team!
• As the Alucobond Installer/ Cladder, your main responsibility is to install and service a wide variety of exterior prefabricated products such as aluminum composite panels at commercial or institutional properties.

Reports to:

• Director and Lead Technical Estimator

Main duties:
The Installers and Servicers perform the following duties:

• Read blueprints or work order specifications to determine layout and installation procedures
• Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations
• Measure, cut and install aluminum composite panels (alucobond) to wall surfaces
• Install, repair and service exterior prefabricated panels using hand and power tools.
• Inspect work for accuracy and quality— complete all work in an efficient manner.
• Deal with other trade schedules and management requests.
• Load and unload material to and from site
• Work from ladders, scaffolding, pump jacks and man lifts.

Job Requirements:

• Must have least 5 years working experience work experience in cladding or installation of aluminum composite panels (alucobond).
• No education requirements
• Obey all on-site and company safety requirements.
• Participate in the company safety culture and other such activities required
• Must be fit to perform physical work and to lift heavy panels
• Demonstrate team playing attitude, must be punctual and proficient in spoken English
• Comfortable working from heights.
• Having a certification is an advantage
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus

Working Conditions:

• Workdays are Monday to Fridays, starting at 8am, for 9 hours minimum
• 1-hour lunch break
• May be required to work overtime
• Frequent exposure to excessive noise, dirt and other possible dangers
