    Monitoring & Evaluation Officers

    SOS Children’s Villages Ghana is a child welfare organisation that provides a stable Family-like (FLC) for children in need.

    We also provide social services for families at risk through our family strengthening projects. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and dynamic persons for appointment as: Monitoring & Evaluation Officers

    Qualification Required & Experience

    The ideal candidate should

    • Hold a first degree in statistics, Project Management, Sociology, Economics or Community Development
    • Have a minimum of 2 years of direct experience assisting in managing and executing monitoring and evaluation activities for donor-funded programmes. Experience should include ability to conduct assessments and surveys, proposal development, programme design, select indicators, implement, monitoring and evaluation plans, data analysis and results framework
    • Applicants living or residing in and around the job location have an added advantage
    • Demonstrate familiarity with and understanding of qualitative and quantitative monitoring & evaluation methodologies that incorporate rigorous statistical methods, impact evaluation, participatory monitoring & Evaluation techniques
    • Have strong communications skills required for extensive report and proposal writing
    • Have advance experience with excel, demonstrated skill in statistical analysis and management information systems, Microsoft office suite Access and other databases formats
    • Be a motivated self-starter with initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm
    • Strategic thinker combined with practical “can do” attitude
    • Strong analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills
    • Possess strong organisational and time management skills with precision to meet deadlines
    • Must be knowledgeable in child rights and child safe guarding practices
    • Team player & ability to cooperate with Heads of departments and projects

    Head of School – (Primary & JHS)

    SOS Children’s Villages Ghana is a child welfare organisation that provides a stable Family-like (FLC) for children in need.

    Qualification Required & Experience

    • A first Degree in Education, a postgraduate qualification would be an added advantage
    • Minimum grade of Assistant Director in the GES plus 5 years experience in the service or 5 years as Head of a private educational institution
    • Must be highly organised, efficient, able to work indepedently, use initiative and meet deadlines
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are absolutely essential
    • The ideal candidate should have strong organisational skills, school management skills, ability to write proposals and be computer literate. (Very good skills in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
    • The successful applicant should be capable of assisting in formulating educational, child welfare and development policies for SOS schools and villages
    • Must be knowledgeable in Child Rights and Child Safe Guarding Practices
