    Job Description:

    • FamilySearch is working to discover and preserve the genealogy of people in rural villages of Africa which would otherwise permanently be lost.  
    • The ROC Supervisor will be responsible for managing the schedule of all process auditors, training process auditors, following and improving audit processes, effective contractor communication, maintaining a high degree of audit quality. 
    • This position will ensure all collected oral history data, audio and photographs collected and submitted to FamilySearch meet quality standards. 
    • Supervisor will provide technical and administrative direction and oversee the day-to-day operations of a group of employees. 
    • He/she will be responsible for the training and development of subordinate staff, estimating work level needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational polices. 
    • Generally, the subordinate group performs a single task or multiple, but closely related tasks.  Resolves most questions and problems and refers the most complex issues to higher levels.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
    • Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
    • Set performance standards and evaluate work performance of subordinates.
    • Make personnel changes including, but not limited to, selecting, removing, advancing in pay, or promoting subordinate employees; or recommend such actions.
    • Give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both technical and administrative matters. 
    • Identify developmental and training needs of employees and provide or arrange for needed development and training. 
    • Provide a safe workplace.

    Qualifications:

    • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent related years of experience. 
    • Two to five years of previous process auditing or related experience. 
    • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and presentation skills in English and French. 
    • Ability to set priorities and lead other people. 
    • Possess and apply advanced skills to the completion of somewhat complex assignments.

    Clothing Clerk

    Job Description:

    • Ensures the temple ordinances are kept pure, recorded accurately, and made available to worthy Church members by:
    • Providing an environment where patrons may have a positive and uplifting experience each time they come to the temple.
    • Maintaining and operating temples at standards established by the First Presidency.
    • Assist by providing necessary ordinance clothing for use in temples by patrons, workers, employees, and volunteers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Waits courteously on patrons to provide needed temple clothing in proper sizes. Sees that sufficient clothing is on hand to supply patrons. 
    • Folds all clothing and assembles packets with robes, aprons, veils, caps, and sashes.
    • Supplies needed clothing to the baptistry as assigned.
    • Operates commercial laundry equipment. Spot cleans clothing with appropriate cleaners and solutions and assists with steam pressing.
    • Sort soiled clothing and keep the work area neat, clean, and orderly.
    • May keep daily production records
    • Performs daily preventative maintenance on laundry equipment such as routine cleaning of machinery, filters, vents, screens, etc., and performs other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be an endowed member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
    • 2-3 years of proven experience in laundry.
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
    • Customer-oriented and friendly.
    • Prioritization and time management.
    • Must be able to lift 30 pounds; bend, kneel, stoop, pull, push, and perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced work environment; must be able to stand for long periods of time.

    Oral Geneology Operations Manager

    Job Description:

    • The purpose of this job is to help Church members fulfill their divinely appointed responsibility to discover their families through family history methods, submit their names to the temple for saving ordinances, and to help bring souls unto Christ.
    • FamilySearch is working to discover and preserve the genealogy of people in rural villages of Africa which would otherwise permanently be lost. 
    • The Oral History Manager will be responsible for developing the business plan and managing the operations of the oral history project. 
    • These plans will include the acquisition of contracts, operation of equipment, and training of personnel to implement and maintain operations of the project.
    • This position will also ensure all collected oral history data, audio and photographs collected and submitted to FamilySearch meeting quality standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Business Development:
      • Draft and execute a business plan to collect and transfer the oral genealogies of rural villages in Africa.
      • Develop collaborative relationships, partnerships, and projects with other organizations to facilitate the collection of oral genealogies.
      • Recruit, train, and support a team of contracted resources for the collection of oral histories.
    • Contract Development, Negotiation, and Budget Management:
      • Develop and manage a business development and operations budget.
      • Develop and manage contractual relationships with partners to implement and execute the collection of oral genealogies.
    • Business Operations:
      • Potentially more than 50% travel.
      • Train others to conduct, capture, and transfer oral history interviews.
      • Implement and manage a quality control program to ensure the accuracy and usability of collected genealogies.
      • Publish written training and support materials for partners and operation team members.
      • Develop and manage an audit program to control quality and privacy.
      • Develop and manage a program to forecast equipment requirements and perform routine equipment repair and maintenance.
      • Manage program assets to ensure equipment is used effectively and mitigate loss.

    Qualifications:

    • Applicant must be a member of the Church and worthy of a temple recommend.
    • Earned a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
    • Masters Degree in business management, history, sociology, anthropology, or a related field prefered
    •  8 years of experience in business operations; including, project management, contract negotiation, quality management, training, and budget management.
    • Excellent communication and writing skills in English and French and must be able to prepare succinct, relevant presentations and be adept at presenting to all levels of leadership.
    • Must be able to leverage analytics to effectively present current business trends.
    • Experience developing and maintaining successful working relationships with contract organizations in Ghana. 
    • Strong leadership skills: with the ability to take initiative, manage your own schedule, and be a self-starter.
    • Ability to travel throughout Ghana and other countries.
    • Must have experience managing services; managing relationships with vendors and other business partners. Must be able to deal with cross-divisional, cross-departmental, cross-functional, and cross-cultural differences, and lead cross-functional and interdepartmental project teams. Must be able to define and document work processes.
    •  Must possess excellent business writing and communication skills and must be able to prepare succinct, relevant presentations and be adept at presenting to all levels of leadership. Must be able to leverage analytics to effectively present current business trends.
