    Accountant

    The Accountant is in charge of Preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Documenting financial transactions by entering account information.

    Main Tasks

    • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
    • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
    • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
    • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
    • Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
    • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
    • Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
    • Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
    • Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
    • Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
    • Complies with requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Minimum of Degree in Accounting, Chartered

    Experience:

    • Not less than 8 years working experience
    • Must have proven experience in construction industry preferably in a senior role

    Senior Cost Engineer

    To support the business to manage cost on its projects to achieve budgeted bottom line results

    Main Tasks

    Include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Monitor project budgets.
    • Drive the implement of a cost management tools and software on existing and new
      projects.
    • Perform cost-to-complete analysis for all cost elements within a project taking into consideration staffing plans, contract commitments, and expenditures to date, change orders and trends.
    • Attend project meetings to provide management with current financial information and trend log regarding potential impacts to project budget or forecast.
    • Provide progress reporting documents and briefing materials as required. Develop creative reporting tools to communicate complex project sequencing and/or progress assessments.
    • Review task orders for contractors and sub-consultants to ensure necessary budget
      and/or contract capacity exists.
    • Analyze bid award and change order values against current budget on projects and prepare reconciliations to include in the current forecast at completion.
    • To effectively perform the essential functions of the job, candidates must meet the following position specifications:

    Qualifications

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred

    Experience:

    • 5 to 10-years cost engineering experience with minimum, 3 to 5-years in direct involvement with an active construction project within a contractor organization.
    • Full professional society member in related field

    Skills

    • Demonstrated experience managing and reporting the cost components of large-scale construction projects; including developing and managing a progress reporting methodologies.
    • Demonstrated ability to understand technical and complicated construction program and costing, and the ability to communicate progress to both technical and management level personnel.
    • Strong financial and commercial awareness
    • Thorough familiarity and proficiency with MS Office Suite software applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Ability to work with others.
    • Self-starter with results-driven focus.
    • Capability to assume additional responsibilities.
    • Proven accuracy, reliability and completeness in job accomplishment.
    • Demonstrated success on the job, as evidenced by satisfactory performance, acceptance of responsibility and growth in previous position.

    Construction Planner

    Creating baseline and progress schedules for various stages of the project, gives technical and practical input on all project schedules and prepares and analyzes updates.

    Main Tasks

    • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with planning and developing construction schedules.
    • Work with Project Executives to prepare proposal and preconstruction schedules.
    • Use historical production data to develop activity durations and validate construction progress.
    • Monitor and analyze progress on detailed construction schedules.
    • Update, analyze, and report status weekly at each project site.
    • Reconcile discrepancies from actual vs. planned progress and facilitate an action plan with the project team.
    • Provide visual schedules as needed using Microsoft Project and or Primavera
    • Provide linear schedules as needed to view production sequences.
    • Analyze repetitive workflows to ensure realistic achievable cycle times
    • Prepare concise monthly schedule narratives.
    • Provide monthly metrics and Key Performance Indicators for executive reports.
    • Work closely with cost engineers analyzing Planned vs. Earned Value
    • Leading the development of a detailed project schedule along with the project teams input.
    • Collect Performing impact analysis for potential delays and changes
    • Developing and maintaining “as built” construction schedules
    • Working closely with the project management team in setting project goals and understanding the status of the project
    • Understanding schedules to determine duration and logic issues
    • Traveling may be necessary depending on the project needs and location
    • Performing other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred

    Experience:

    • 10 to 15 years experience working on scheduling of various construction projects
    • A recognized project management certification preferred

    Skills

    • Knowledge of critical path method of scheduling
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Minimum of 3 years experience using Primavera scheduling software and Microsoft Project
    • Ability to conduct constructability reviews for varying construction method/techniques during design or constructing progress, updating and reporting
      projects status
