    Senior Lecturer

    Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the position of Senior Lecturer in the Department of Theatre and Film Studies under the Faculty of Arts, University of Cape Coast.

    Qualification Required & Experience

    The preferred candidate must:

    •  Hold a terminal degree in Theatre or Film Studies from a reputable University
    •  Demonstrate capacity to establish and lead a vibrant research team to win grants for cutting-edge research
    •  Demonstrate capacity to develop national and international collaborations to support graduate level research and teaching across disciplines
    •  University teaching experience at the Senior Lecturer rank

    Job Description

    •  Teaching courses in Theatre Studies, preferably in Technical Theatre
    •  Teaching Master’s and PhD students
    •  Supervision of MPhil and PhD theses

    Research Fellow – Grants and Contract Management Administrator

    • The Directorate of Research, Innovation and Consultancy (DRIC) invites applications from suitably qualified persons with expertise in research administration for the following position: Research Fellow – Grants and Contract Management Administrator
    • The position of Research Fellow would be appointed and promoted based on the Research Fellow’s line of progression

    Job Description – Key Duties and Responsibilities

    •  Identified and maintains research grant sources, and disseminates research funding opportunities
    •  Coordinates the setting up of teams of proposal development and provides pre-award support
    •  Prepares all contracts and portfolios for research, grants and consultancies
    •  Keeps complete and accurate database of contracts for sub-awards research, grants and consultancies
    •  Seeks and manages UCC and DRIC’s registration with international institutes that have research grants and other grant platforms
    •  Reviews proposals for completeness and compliance with the national and institutional regulations/policies/guidelines/procedures as well as administrative, financial and programatic (grant project performance) reporting requirements of the award

     Liaises with principal investigators, subcontractors, sponsored project offices and funding agencies

    Qualification Required & Experience

    •  Minimum of PhD/MPhil (Masters with thesis) in a relevant discipline
    •  Additional qualification in Project Management, International Development, or Research Administration will be an advantage
    •  Extensive experience in proposal development for research grants and consultancy services, including the identification preparation and implementation of research grant
    •  Extensive experience in sourcing for grants and securing external grants and project funding
    •  Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply sponsor, national and institutional policies,  regulations, guidelines, practices and procedures and research grants
    •  Ability to manage high volume and complex transactions
    •  Excellent research and analytical skills
    •  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    •  Good planning, organisational and administrative skills
    •  Good IT skills and understanding of centralised database management system

    Research Fellow – Industry, Innovation, Outreach

    • The Directorate of Research, Innovation and Consultancy (DRIC) invites applications from suitably qualified persons with expertise in research administration for the following position: Research Fellow – Industry, Innovation, Outreach and Extension Services Administrator

    Job Description – Key Duties and Responsibilities

    •  Links industry with researchers and sets up funding mechanism
    •  Identifies linkages of philanthropic individuals and agencies with UCC
    •  Maintain links with industry payers and keep complete and accurate database on same
    •  Seeks patent registration for works of innovation
    •  Seeks linkages with industry to commercialize innovative research findings
    •  Liaises with Faculties/schools to keep record of staff extension services, including identifying relevant areas of support in the community
    •  Mobilises support for identified aras of need in the community through research or any other means
    •  Prepares policy briefs for engagement with national policy makers
    •  Handles business negotiations and teaming agreements with collaborators
    •  Identifies, coordinates and compiles research business development and strategic research plans of faculty, staff and students

    Qualification Required & Experience

    •  Minimum of PhD/MPhil (Masters with thesis) in a relevant discipline
    •  Additional qualification in Marketing, or Business Administration will be an advantage
    •  Effective networking skills and connection with business and industry
    •  Demonstrated understanding of intellectual property rights (patents, copyright and related rights)
    •  Familiarity with the process of turning fresh ideas into great products and services
    •  Effective client liaison and ability to build relationships
    •  Good interdisciplinary working skills
    •  Excellent client liaison and ability to build relationships
    •  Good planning, organisational and administrative skills
    •  Good IT skills and understanding of centralized database management system
