    Payments Product Manager

    As we scale to become Africa’s #1 payments brand, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to build and preserve trusting relationships with the Financial Institutions.

    • Deep insight and understanding of payment partners/products/channels including but not limited to Ghipss, Banking, MMOs, Switching Companies, Settlement Companies, Payment Service Providers, Biller Aggregators, etc.
    • Collaborate with the internal reconciliation, settlement, operations, product, R&D, compliance and other teams to fully understand payment partners capability, proactively identify and resolve problems in good time, provide timely feedback and ensure prompt resolution of issues and escalate where necessary.
    • Lead and organize the relevant team to analyze root cause of incidents, and ensure resolution within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) time. In charge of review, and output the follow-up improvement measures and implementation plans.
    • Have a grounded understanding and experience of integration platforms with most payment partners.
    • Analyse the API document shared by Partner Institutions, provide the product flow, transaction infomation flow, fund flow of mainly use casese.
    • Constantly optimize the system service to improve our customers payment experience.
    • Tracking the newest and mainstream products including but not limited to payment, billers, lending, KYC, SMS, etc. And provide research report to HQ team.

    Requirements

    • Minimum Bachelor Degree or above. Major in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields.
    • Minimum of 3 years Payment Product working experience in the payment industry.
    • Excellent communication, analysis, presentation and troubleshooting skills.
    • Familiar with the payment and financial industry standards, specifications and regulatory frameworks.
    • Technical knowledge in quality assurance will be an added advantage.
    • Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment.

    Business Development Manager - Financial Institution

    As a Business Development Manager, you will focus mainly on building long-term relationships with the Financial Institutions and support the HQ where needed. We also expect you to be a strategic thinker with analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Expanding payment channels and creating new payment solutions via partnering with Financial Institutions (Banks, MNOs, Fintechs, Payment/Biller Aggregator, etc).
    • Developing and executing strategies for growing and sustaining PalmPay’s vibrant.
    • Fully involved in all steps of onboarding Financial Institutions from zero to go live with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
    • Building and nurturing relationships with top-level partners.
    • Monitoring and responding to trends and competitor offerings to provide solutions and improve service.
    • Working closely with internal Business Unit, Products, Integration, Operations, Settlement, Reconciliation, Compliance, Legal, and Finance teams to fully understand PalmPay requirements and provide solutions.
    • Negotiation of deals to cut cost ands increase revenue for PalmPay.

    Qualification & Required Skills

    • Experience in Financial Institutions especially for Payment Industries
    • Analytical and Presentation skills
    • Strategic partnership skills
    • At least 3 years relevant working experience on dealing with Banks/Fintech/Billers in the positions of BDM, Strategy Manager, Partnership Manager.
    • Extremely result-oriented, realistic and reliable; able to work with aggressive timelines
    • Ability to multi-task and under constant pressure, positive attitude, good interpersonal and business negotiation – presentation skills.
    • At least Bachelor’s Degree qualification.

    Other Requirements:

    • Entrepreneurial mindset in decision making and managing resources
    • Logical decision-making abilities
