    Senior Electrical Technician

    Operate and carry out first line maintenance activities as directed by relevant Discipline Supervisor on the FPSO process and utilities plant in a safe and efficient manner, being aware of safety of others, effective utilisation of FPSO systems and processes related to FPSO operations, ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements and in line with the 35 x Performance standards/associated assurance tasks.

    Provide and carry out first line maintenance activities for Topsides and Engine room/Utilities as directed by relevant Discipline Supervisor on the FPSO as outlined in PD below.

    Carry out Preventative maintenance and repair work, shutdowns, isolations and planned maintenance in accordance with the CMMS Supervise the activities of the local technicians, mentoring them and working with them and HR in developing a training programme to facilitate and support their career development / progression.

    Responsibilities

    • Carry out planned preventative and remedial maintenance as described in maintenance management system work instructions
    • Responsible for weekly monitoring checks on safety and production critical equipment, reporting any deviation of set parameters and raise work orders in maintenance management system
    • Carry out fault finding and diagnostic checks on all vessel equipment, ensuring any repairs are addressed promptly. Ensure critical spares are available and any discrepancies are addressed
    • Completing and maintaining all documentation associated with Maintenance engineering as required for all maintenance operational work activities
    • Provides Engineering Maintenance support to achieve and maintain the technical and performance
    • integrity of the FPSO Facility.
    • Complete all work activities in accordance with the Facility standards, Facility Management procedures and specifications
    • Effective reporting of the status of all electrical equipment/systems(including interconnectingsystems) primarily to the offshore Maintenance function, with a second reporting line to the onshore asset Electrical Engineer
      • All maintenance and maintenance related activities are carried out to the highest standards
      • All test and inspection routines required by the Planned Maintenance System are completed
      • Proper records/history and reports are maintained

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of BSc Electrical Engineering.
    • Additional National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Certificate will be a plus.
    • 5-8 years offshore oil and gas or relevant industry experience
    • Senior authorized Electrical Person for HV isolations/working.
    • Maintenance Operations experience
    • HV/LV Electrical generation, transformation and distribution plant experience
    • Sound knowledge of HV/LV switchgear, motors, heaters and transformers
    • Sound knowledge of UPS, electrical control, power management and protection systems
    • Maintenance Management systems experience
    • Authorized/ Senior Authorized HV Electrical isolating authority
    • Comp-Ex training/competence
    • FPSO experience

    ICSS Engineer

    MPSG Facility Operations. The ICSS Engineer’s role is to complete the Controls & Instrumentation engineering discipline inputs as applicable to all Management of Change or specifically acting as Technical focal point for day-to-day Instrumentation, controls & metering equipment issues & support for work activities specifically related to the FPSO operations. This includes but is not limited to:

    • Liaises with offshore Maintenance team to ensure scheduled Instrument Maintenance activities are completed.
    • Ensure all maintenance & operational modification activities within the l & C (Systems) discipline are carried out safely, in accordance with Company Policy & Process, to the highest standards of quality.
    • Liaise with the appointed Instruments, Control & Metering Technical Authority (TA) as appropriate in relation to technical modifications, SCE related performance standards, assurance & verification activities, procedure changes & deviations.
    • Liaise with vendors, sub-contractors & appropriate Technical Authority (TA) to improve equipment performance & deliver operational & project modifications to improve operational efficiency.
    • Liaising and coordinating work activities with other discipline engineers to achieve deadlines and target objectives as required for the operations team
    • Provide guidance & direction in the preparation/implementation of service support & healthcare contracts, including sourcing suitable vendors
    • Ensure AMOS system contains comprehensive & accurate maintenance routines in accordance with the NSP maintenance strategies.
    • Carry out & assist with investigations into instruments & controls related incidents/equipment failures, including recommended preventative actions.
    • Carry out routine audits & inspections to ensure that the condition & operation of instrument and control equipment is in accordance with NSP operations and required performance procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with company general specifications & requirements, local legislative & operational requirements including override management, isolation standards, system & equipment testing, etc.
    • Provides l & E and Control systems support to theFPSO systems technicians, engineers and managers. Strong troubleshooting & knowledge withDCS, programmable logic controllers and associated hardware is desirable, specifically for:
    • Power generation, gas turbine unit
    • Yokogawa CS3000 DCS system
    • Other applicable FPSO PLC’s
    • ECS/EGS/SIS

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Qualification: BSc Instrumentation & Control (OR) BSc Electrical/Electronics
    • Minimum Experience: 10 years in Industrial Control Systems Background with FPSO, Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemicals.

    Special Systems Skills:

    • Hands on Working Experience in DCS like Yokogawa’s Centum VP and Prosafe-RS
    • Hands on Working Experience in Allen-Bradley PLC, Siemens PLC, GE Fanuc PLC, HIMA PLC
    • Network Switches and Firewall Configuration
    • Serial Communication Interface – Modbus, Profibus, OPC
