About the job

We are looking to hire a CFO to lead the company from a financial perspective. You will report into the CEO and work alongside other C-Suite team members and take ownership of all company fiscal and regulatory matters. To do well in this role you should have experience as a CFO in a company with complex financials, fundraising and an extensive balance sheet. To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of financial policies, procedures, and systems. In addition to being an excellent communicator, our ideal candidate will also have outstanding analytical and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with high-level decisions about policy and strategy.
• Helping with recruiting new staff members when necessary.
• Oversee the company’s fiscal activity including, budgeting, reporting, auditing and administration.
• Support the fundraising efforts led by the CEO and execute the fundraising strategy.
• Assure legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
• Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company.
• Review financial reports for ways to reduce costs.
• Work well with CEO and CTO to develop strategic plan, optimise processes and assure economic stability.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant, master’s degree in a relevant discipline, or MBA.
• 10 years + experience at senior management level.
• Strong financial and accounting background, designing financial controls and commercial strategies.
• Strong experience in supply chain management.
• Experience with corporate governance.
• Proven negotiation skills.
• Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions.
• Ability to inspire confidence and create trust.
• Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.
