Investment Manager at Executive Choice

The core focus of this role is around end-end investment management within the SME space. The successful candidate will have strong financial and numerical skills and have an analytical disposition. Another key aspect is building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and being able to influence on various levels within the organisation and with clients. CTC: GHS 180 000 – 216 000 per annum

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure quality deal flow and disbursement (i.e. Investment in quality clients)
• Achieve high realizations from investments whilst ensuring quality reports are submitted to the Finance Committee and prudently managing the portfolios
• Manage the end-end investment lifecycle - Deal processing (from application, screening, due diligence, disbursement and management)
• Deal sourcing and generation of quality investment reports (take note of financial analysis and interpreting figures thereof) and effectively managing each investment portfolio
• Build strong relationships internally and with investees, maintaining ethical business behaviour especially when working with small businesses, understanding the difference in investing in an SME compared to a large corporate – taking a more personal and consultative approach and not a transactional approach

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting, Maths & Stats or Economics (with a Finance major)MBA, ACCA or CFA will be an added advantage
• Strong understanding and passion for working with SME businesses is a non-negotiable skill for this role
• 3 – 5 Years’ experience senior level within an investment/lending or credit environment
• Advanced Excel
• Advanced numerical and financial skills are essential
