    Global Payroll Administrator

    This role may choose to be office based out of London or home based, and will report to our Global Controller.

    Key responsibilities

    • Ensure all payrolls are always delivered on time and with 100% accuracy
    • Process the payroll/contractor data in an organised and structured manner
    • Keep on track of all payroll deadlines and monthly payroll tasks
    • Prepare payroll reports and provide monthly payroll data in journal format to finance for processing
    • Comply with GDPR regulations and maintain payroll security/confidentiality
    • Deal with payroll queries and resolve or escalate as required
    • Constantly seek out ways to improve systems and processes to ensure a seamless flow between HR, Payroll and Finance
    • Keep payroll policies up to date and write any new procedures as required
    • Provide support to any project related activities from Finance and HR
    • Provide support to Finance with reporting and audit queries
    • Assist with future expansions of global payrolls and other projects
    • Manage all payroll correspondence and act as a point of contact for all escalated payroll queries
    • Maintain strong cross-functional team relationships
    • Build strong relationships with vendors to ensure excellent service delivery and compliance in all countries

    Valued skills and experience

    • Experience in a similar payroll role and working with outsourced payroll bureaus
    • Excellent communication skills to converse with external parties and internal team members of all levels
    • Strong process and planning mindset
    • Ability to think outside the box and solve problems when faced with new challenges
    • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Exceptional planning/organisational skills and being deadline oriented
    • Ability to work with different software systems, and have excellent knowledge of spreadsheets and formulas
    • Being a team player as well as being able to work independently

    Manager - Web and Design Project Management

    We are looking for a Web and Design Manager to lead the Project Management practice within our Web and Design department. In this role, you will manage a team of project managers and work closely with various web and design teams on various projects to shape Canonical's products' experience as well as improve internal processes and identify ways to drive more efficiency and quality.

    Location: This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region

    What your day will look like

    • Lead a diverse and distributed team of project managers including performance management and mentoring
    • Promote industry-recognized, best-in-class project management practices
    • Lead the evaluation of project management tools, systems, and processes
    • Drive resource capacity planning for the team, identifying gaps and actively looking for solutions to ensure efficient and effective team allocation utilization
    • Drive continuous improvement and implementation of best practices
    • Establish KPIs for project status reporting across Canonical
    • Collaborate with web and design teams to address common challenges
    • improve internal processes and identify ways to drive more efficiency and quality
    • Drive execution excellence through continuous feedback and improvement
    • Review web and design teams' feedback and participate in their meetings
    • Develop your project management team through coaching, mentoring, and training
    • Serve as the first escalation point on critical projects
    • Act as a trusted adviser to company leadership, collaborating with stakeholders to enable web and design teams' success

    What we are looking for in you

    • Experience leading diverse, remote project teams in a technology company
    • Experience with cross-cultural and multi-continent projects
    • Experience hiring, managing teams, and developing skills
    • Strong software engineering project management experience
    • Passion for agile methodology
    • A track record of success managing web teams that include project managers, UX/UI designers, and developers
    • Adept at making things happen while successfully managing risks
    • Experience building collaborative internal and external partnerships
    • Attention to details and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Degree-level education in Computer Science or STEM field
    • Flexibility to work non-standard hours when required, in support of worldwide project teams
    • PMP/PMI or PRINCE2 practitioner certification
    • Agile/SCRUM Certification
    • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events

    We are looking for an experienced talent leader that has proven experience of driving world class talent initiatives. The suitable individual will bring experience of data science, creating and using dashboarding to influence and drive our processes together with experience of conducting behavioral and psychometric assessments.

    What we are looking for in you

    • An exceptional academic track record with a degree in psychology or a science based subject with a data science/analytical background.
    • Programming experience with advanced capability to build dashboards, manipulate large datasets and create complex metrics to drive positive behavioural change (SQL, Python, Scripting capabilities).
    • Management experience overseeing data driven experts in the talent field including managing projects that drive efficiency and deliver results.
    • Thought leadership in the talent space with the ability to influence best practice, bringing a solid point of how to build a high performance organisation.
    • Experience of running and providing stakeholder training on behavioural, competency based interviews.
    • Experience of interpreting psychometric assessments with a deep belief that motivations and behaviours are as important as technical domain skills.
    • Proven ability of working with senior stakeholders to drive a professional outlook on hiring talent as well as challenge the status quo.
