    Chief Financial Officer

    About The Job

    Summary:

    • We are looking for a senior finance executive that has experience in areas such as strategy, large scale fundraising as well as the essential financial management and compliance skills needed to run a high calibre and fast-moving finance function. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Drive the company’s financial planning and long term strategy.
    • Perform risk management by analysing the organization’s liabilities and investments
    • Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
    • Control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure
    • Take lead on running an end-to-end fund-raising process, which includes preparing investment memorandums, data rooms and all required due diligence as required for equity and debt funders.
    • Manage the company cash flow and ensure it is appropriate for the organization’s operations
    • Supervise and manage all finance personnel
    • Manage vendor relationships and required procurement processes
    • Manage the supply chain and logistics to get goods from suppliers into warehouse
    • Prepare all management accounts and investor updates on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
    • Lead and support budgeting across all departments
    • Manage and oversee pricing updates in line with business goals and strategy
    • Set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system
    • Ensure compliance with the tax laws and company’s policies
    • Prepare financial forecasts and analysis in line with business needs

    Requirements and skills:

    • Proven experience as a senior finance officer or relevant role is a must
    • Proven experience leading fundraising from external parties such as Venture Capital, Private Equity, Structured Finance or Debt is a must
    • Must be over 10 years post qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA
    • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA/CFA is a plus
    • Cross border experience is essential with awareness and experience managing FX risk
    • In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
    • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
    • Proficient in the use of MS Excel and PowerPoint along with financial management software (e.g. SAP, QuickBooks…)
    • Ability to strategize and solve problems
    • Strong leadership and organizational skills
    • Excellent communication and people skills
    • An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers

    Financial Accountant

    About The Job

    Summary:

    • The Finance Accountant is responsible for ensuring accuracy and integrity of the Company’s financial records. 
    • He is responsible for all financial activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger, and the resulting managerial reports and financial statements. 
    • Responsible for all aspects of accounting, including cashflow forecast, tax and account reconciliations. 
    • The role will provide meaningful thought leadership related to valuation and financial modeling activities within the business by analysing the ROI (Return on Investment) for all new and current products. 
    • The incumbent will assist in budgeting and forecasting, drafting, and coordinating reports, and tracking information on industry, customers, and economic developments.

    Essential Duties:

    • Manage all bookkeeping to conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing, and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of IFRS reporting.
    • Manage bookkeeping and prepare the accounting close for the Company, which includes review and posting of general journal entries and preparation of account and balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis.
    • Prepare the Company’s annual financial statements applying the provisions of the IFRSs.
    • Remain current regarding all accounting developments relevant to the Company's financial reporting and managing the implementation of any new pronouncements. Support (as required) the Company with accounting policy analysis and advice.
    • Prepare 13 weeks and 12 months rolling cash forecasts.
    • Monthly preparation and coordination of filing VAT and withholding taxes returns.
    • Build financial models using historical data and providing forecasts based on various industry-related operating metrics of commercial proposals, business development opportunities, and potential acquisitions.
    • Conduct Scenario Analysis based on macro and micro factors that will help in accessing risk
    • Ensure accurate modeling of allocated portfolios and developing new transaction models and enhance the existing models.
    • Coordinates all tax related activities between Kofa and our tax consultants.
    • Be a point of contact to the Consultants in terms of information flow.
    • Review of tax computations, especially during filing of annual tax returns.
    • Provide any other support and analysis as may be required.
    • Manage all customer pricing reviews and updates based upon agreed models
    • Support fund raising activities such as managing a data room and all required due diligence
    • Manage all reporting to investors and other funders on a timely schedule
    • Prepare consolidated accounts for the group of companies, managing the relevant FX rates in line with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly investor updates
    • Oversee all internal compliance and other company policies

    Competencies:

    • Working knowledge of IFRS
    • Strong relationship-development skills resulting in long term mutually beneficial client relationships.
    • Self-motivated; Able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests, as well as collaborating with others to utilize resources and knowledge of others in identifying quality solutions.
    • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

    • Strong leadership skills: Ability to drive and motivate self to achieve results within the department.
    • Ability to work in a time-sensitive and high-volume environment

    • Good strategic and problem-solving skills to effectively influence decision making in key negotiations.

    Education And Experience:

    • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting and/or related field
    • Qualified Chartered Accountant is required
    • Previous supply chain experience is preferred
    • 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, reporting, business planning and financial analysis.
    • Experienced in advanced Excel is an added advantage.
    • Good accounting knowledge of income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows required

    Support Operations Associate

    About The Job

    Summary:

    • We are looking for a Customer Support Operations associate will be responsible for resolving mechanical, operational and technical issues with customers and with company resources such as motorcycles, batteries and swap stations across the city. 
    • Support ops associates are key to ensuring that the entire system runs smoothly. 
    • They do this by ensuring that customer issues are resolved as quickly as possible and wherever possible, before they occur.

    Responsibilities:

    • Respond to customer-related issues.
    • Perform regular status checks on Kofa motorcycles, batteries, swap stations and other equipment to assure performance readiness
    • Performance test and quality assure motorcycles provided.
    • Provide both qualitative and quantitative feedback on motorcycle performance on a regular basis
    • Teach new users how to use the Kofa products
    • Perform on-the-spot troubleshooting to diagnose mechanical issues
    • Resolve basic mechanical, electronic and connectivity-related issues with the Kofa motorcycles and other assets
    • Interface with customer support, analytics and account reps to ensure an excellent customer experience
    • Inform and advocate for electric motorcycle use; represent the Kofa brand and generate interest in Kofa products before and after they are released to the public

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 2-3 years of work experience
    • Must have extensive experience riding motorcycles
    • Must be fully licensed to operate motorcycles
    • Significant experience riding motorcycles, preferably as an okada or delivery rider, and be able to communicate effectively about motorcycle mechanics, specifications, riding and culture in Accra
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Will be required to submit regular, structured reports
    • Good technical skills and experience in basic word processing and spreadsheets
    • Must have good soft skills and interface well with customers

    Nice-to-Have:

    • Ability to speak local languages, including Twi and Ga
    • Experience with electronics and servicing electrical equipment
