    Human Resources Assistant

    Job Description

    • Department: Human Resources
    • Reports To: Recruitment Officer
    • Location: Onsite at HPW Fresh and Dry Ltd, Adeiso, E/R.

    Job Purpose

    The human resource Assistant shall be responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations.

    HR Job Duties

    • Handle employee attendance records.
    • Assist in recruitment and selection
    • Scheduling job interviews and assisting in interview process
    • Preparing new employee files
    • Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
    • Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures
    • Administering new employment assessments
    • Assists with benefits administration.
    • Serve as a point of contact for all casual employees
    • Assist with payroll processing which includes ensuring leave and sick time, absence deductions, workers bonus, overtime are tracked in the system
    • Maintain current HR files and databases
    • Assists with Employee PF Management
    • Update and maintain employee records
    • Maintain records related to grievances, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
    • Perform file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained
    • Assists in employee surveys/HR audits

    Additional Duties

    D/ Specific Duties in Regard to BRC issue 6 Global Standard for Food Safety

    You shall assist in the fulfillment of the following clauses in the standard:

    • Staff facilities
    • Housekeeping and Hygiene (ie: staff facilities)

    • Protective Clothing

    Required Skills or Experience

    Qualification

    University Degree in Human Resource Management with hands-on experience in HR and a Member of HR Professional body

    Imports Logistics Officer

    Job Description

    • Department: Operations
    • Reports To: Logistics Coordinator
    • Location: Onsite at HPW Fresh and Dry Ltd, Adeiso, E/R.

    Job Purpose

    To Monitor and verify imports documents and imports permit

    Job Duties

    • Handle Import monitoring by keeping register
    • Responsible for receiving and dispatching of import documents
    • Verify import documents (Invoices, transport documents, packing list, etc) accuracy (eg. Descriptions, HS codes, etc
    • Request for corrections/amendments on documents with errors
    • Handle freezones exemptions on imports.
    • Initiate the acquisition of import permits (eg PPRSD permit for plant produce)
    • Liaise with clearing agents at the various entry points for clearance (Airport, Tema, Elubo, Hamile and Aflao) of all imports
    • Coordinate clearance procedures at the port, resident customs for e trak deactiva-tion
    • Ensure on time clearance at all entry points to eliminate/reduce demurrage.
    • Receive cleared goods, organize offloading at the factory and handing over to the appropriate store/ user
    • Handle all payments for services by clearing agents
    • Update import returns and filling of import documents
    • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly returns to administration.

    Required Skills or Experience

    Qualification

    HND or First Degree in accounting /logistics & supply chain with at least National Service experience in similar role

    Technical & Personality Competencies

    • Good knowledge in Microsoft office suite, especially MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

    Learning And Development Officer

    Job Description

    • Department: Human Resources
    • Reports To: HR Manager
    • Location: Onsite at HPW Fresh and Dry Ltd, Adeiso, E/R.

    Job Purpose

    To coordinate and support the development and delivery of effective learning & development programs and organisational development initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties

    • Coordinates the development, delivery and evaluation of staff learning and development programs and the implementation of an annual corporate training plan and budget.
    • Monitors regularly to ensure training and development policies and procedures are applied fairly and uniformly throughout the company
    • Identify training and development needs within the organisation through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with Line managers
    • Coordinates the preparation of and execution of annual training programmes
    • Designs training and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation
    • Consider the costs of planned programmes and keep within budgets
    • Plan and assess the ‘return on investment’ of any training or development programme
    • Liaises with Departmental Heads and supervisors to prepare orientation programmes for new staff and co-ordinates the execution of such programmes.
    • Develops and implement systems for evaluating the effectiveness of training and development programmes
    • Liaises with departmental heads on career development programmes for key staff and follow up regularly to ensure that such programmes are on track
    • Provision of data for Free Zone reporting on trainings on quarterly basis
    • Prepares training bonds for staff who are sponsored for trainings
    • Develops vocational trainings program in cooperation with KNUST or other institutions related to the below:
      • Food processing and technology
      • Agriculture
      • Plant technicians
    • Prepares and deliver induction and refresher trainings on selected topics
    • Maintains database on training and development activities
    • Provides guidance to line managers to help them identify learning needs of staff
    • Monitors and reviews the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with Line managers
    • Ensures that statutory training requirements are met
    • Evaluates training and development programmes and present quarterly reports to management
    • Amends and revise programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment
    • Assist line managers and trainers to solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
    • Administrates Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure systematic capture of corporate training records and data.
    • Designs and facilitates training sessions as and when necessary
    • Develops and coordinates “in-house” training sessions / programs.
    • Prepare Quarterly reports on training effectiveness.

    Additional Duties
