JOB PURPOSE:

• Responsible for the handling of day-to-day inventory management at the warehouse through robust processes and systems approach to achieve customer service satisfaction, enhance productivity, and achieve business growth.

DUTIES:

• Prepares and maintains daily stock records of receipts and deliveries
• Monitors and controls receipts and dispatches to ensure compliance with first-in-first-out system of operation in order to reduce the rate of stock obsoleteness
• Regularly checks and monitors physical stock levels to ensure that minimum, optimum and maximum stock levels are maintained at all times
• Prepares and reports on inventory adjustments taking into consideration damaged, spoilt, mis-delivered, undelivered, short-landed and oversupplied stock
• Liaises with the receiving (inbound) and dispatching (outbound) officers, to oversee that goods are arranged in an orderly manner for ease of storage and retrieval, whenever required
• Conducts regular inspection of physical stocks to ensure that they are well protected in the warehouse and free of damage from the rain, sun, fire or any other such peril
• Properly plans and executes the reconditioning of damaged stocks, and to dispose off obsolete ones whenever required
• Assists the Inventory Supervisor/Manager and designated officers to undertake stock-taking from time to time and be involved in the correct valuation of inventory whenever required;
• Makes recommendations for improvement in procedures and systems relating to warehouse operations as and when required
• Performs such other related duties as may be directed from time to time.
• Ensure spillages are swept and collected immediately
• Recondition burst bags as quickly as possible to avoid exposure to the weather

INTERNAL RELATIONS:

• Maintains interpersonal relation with all workers at the warehouse, operations and production.
• Regular checks and management of stock/ inventory.

EXTERNAL RELATIONS:

• Maintains friendly and cordial relations with all company’s haulage contractors, casual agencies, casuals, clients and others in the supply chain industry.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR ASSETS:

• Has responsibility for managing babylove warehouse
• Management of working logistics

COMPETENCIES:

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

• A university degree in Logistics / supply chain management or any related field.
• A professional qualification in stock management/ supply chain.
• Industry experience.
• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

• Must have requisite knowledge in warehouse and inventory management operations and also abreast with the set standards such as ISO, RAD, WMP etc.
• Understanding of warehouse best practices and principles
• Knowledge of warehouse regulations
• Ability to have proven track records of effective management of stocks
• Ability to work with deadlines and changing conditions in relation to client demands.
• Ability to comply with warehouse standards

JOB PURPOSE:

• Mix and handle chemicals, record information and observations relating to the mixing process, troubleshoot issues with equipment and assist in process improvement initiatives and the work plan development process to enhance efficiency and productivity.

DUTIES:

• Plans conducts and supervises all chemical handling operations following environmental, health and safety best practices for receipts and deliveries of chemicals.
• Ensure chemical related permits such as environmental permit and License to transport hazardous chemicals for the facility are valid and up to
• Prepare and submit Environmental Management Plan, Annual Environmental reports and Quarterly Environmental Monitoring Returns to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as part of our regulatory requirements.
• Assist with Quarterly Ambient Air and Noise monitoring for respective sampling points
• Sample Liquid chemicals during receipt and after transfer operations.
• Conduct physical analysis (Appearance, pH, Temperature etc.) on samples taking from chemical product such as MEG, Methanol and Sodium metabisulphite solution as quality control measure prior delivery.
• Set up, operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Conduct regular training on the elements of Hazard communication, safe chemical transfers, chemical re-packaging, loading, and unloading of chemicals through weekly toolbox talk and safety meetings.
• Assist with daily workplace inspection, conducting risk assessments of chemical operations, PPE compliance, workplace incident and environmental hazard reporting.
• Pallet all the chemicals as per the requirements
• Label chemicals per its specifications and stack them according to the layout of the warehouse.
• Undertake any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

INTERNAL RELATIONS:

• Maintain contacts with departmental and other line managers at all locations on matters relating to the business.

EXTERNAL RELATIONS:

• Maintain contacts with company’s clients where necessary through regular calls and response to emails to identify and address their needs promptly.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR ASSETS:

• Has responsibility for the management of unit’s budget
• Has responsibility for managing the company’s client’s database and tracking information.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Degree / HND in Business Administration or its equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar position.
• Hands on experience from the chemical industry will be an added advantage
• Experience in working with cranes and forklifts

TECHNICAL:

• Ability to compute decimals and fractions to determine percentages of chemicals to be mixed for new solutions or added to existing solutions.
• Ability to use various meters and gages for testing and scales for weighing chemicals.
• Basic knowledge of a chemical laboratory environment
• Ability to comply with health, safety and quality regulations/protocols including wearing of Personal protection gear (PPEs)
• Creative troubleshooting skills
