Qualification Required & Experience

A person seeking appointment as Dean of the above Faculties and Schools must:

•  Be an acclaimed academic, researcher in his/her field with significant contribution to higher education and industry, as well as contribution to the intellectual and professional reputation of his/her University of Institution
•  Show leadership, high quality sound judgment, initiative, resourcefulness, precision and professionalism in the discharge of his or her duties
•  Have been appointed as Professor / Associate Professor / Senior Lecturer in the relevant discipline in an accredited tertiary institution in Ghana or elsewhere
•  Have a PhD in the relevant field of specialization
•  Show evidence of capacity for continuous research and dissemination of knowledge through technology transfer and publications
•  Have extensive publications in peer reviewed journals and other academic databases
•  Must have served as a Coordinator, Head of Department, Director, Vice Dean and or a Dean in a tertiary institution or an analogues institution
•  Be a member of a recognized professional body in his or her field and
•  Be computer literate

A person seeking appointment as a Professor in any of the schools must:

•  Be an acclaimed academic / researcher in his/her field with significant contribution to Higher Education and industry, as well as contribution to the intellectual and professional reputation of his/her University or Institution
•  Have been appointed as a Professor in the relevant discipline in an accredited tertiary institution in Ghana or elsewhere
•  Have a minimum of twenty-eight (28) publication in peer reviewed journals and other academic database, at least 12 of which must have been published after promotion to the grade of an Associate Professor
•  Must have served at least 3 years on the rank of Associate Professor in the institution the applicant is coming from and
•  Be a member of a recognised professional association

A person seeking appointment as a Senior Lecturers in any of the schools must:

•  Be an acclaimed academic / researcher in his/her field with significant contribution to Higher Education and industry, as well as contribution to the intellectual and professional of his/her University or Institution
•  Have been appointed as an Associate Professors in the relevant discipline in an accredited tertiary institution in Ghana or elsewhere
•  Have a PhD/LLM in the relevant field of specialization
•  Have taught for a minimum of 5 years as Lecturer in the institution where the applicant is coming from
•  Have a minimum of 6 publications in peer reviewed journals and other academic databases and
•  Be a member of a recognised professional Association

A person seeking appointment as an Associate Professors in any of the schools must:

•  Be an acclaimed academic / researcher in his/her field with significant contribution to Higher Education and industry, as well as contribution to the intellectual and professional
•  Have been appointed as an Associate Professors in the relevant discipline in an accredited tertiary institution in Ghana or elsewhere
•  Have a minimum of 16 publications in peer reviewed journals and other academic database, at least 10 of which must have been published after promotion to the rank of Senior Lecturer
•  Have served at least 3 years on the rank of Senior Lecturer in the institution the applicant is coming from and
•  Be a member of a recognised Professional Association

•  A person seeking appointment as Legal Officer must be an individual who understands the University Environment and the Management of higher Education in Ghana as well as Higher Education laws and National Policies

Qualification Required & Experience

The applicant must:

•  Have a minimum of BL or LLM from a recognised University
•  Must have a minimum of 6 years working experience in a University, Industry or Public Service
•  Be prepared to contribute to the teaching or Public service
•  Be a member of the Ghana Bar Association and
•  Be computer literate
