    Chief Store Assistant

    The Chief Store Assistant shall be responsible for the efficient organisation and running of the College stores, including:

    •  General supervision of stores
    •  Stores accounting and book-keeping
    •  Supervision and training of subordinate staff
    •  Applications and interpretation of stores regulations and instructions
    •  Handling general correspondence proper record keeping

    Qualification Required & Experience        

    •  Applicant must hold the final certificate of Chartered institute of purchasing and supply or equivalent qualification. He/She must have served as a Principal Store Assistant in a College of Education of comparable grade in a similar institution/organisation for at least 4 years
    •  In addition, applicant must demonstrate high sense of responsibility and integrity, must be analytical, critical and result-oriented, must be computer literate and be familiar with relevant stores software

    Chief Estate Management Assistant

    The Chief Estate Management Assistant shall be responsible to the Principal for the management of the college’s Estate Department, including:

    •  Advising Management on estate matters, including property acquisition rent and reviews, leases, lease renewal and disposal of unserviceable
    •  Undertaking routine inspection of the college’s estates and preparing regular reports
    •  Ensuring that proper assets register is maintained at the estate office
    •  Preparing maintenance schedules and venues for functions such as congregation, matriculation, etc
    •  Providing timely reports on encroachment on the college’s property
    •  Ensuring proper utilisation of the college’s property

    Qualification Required & Experience

    •  The candidate must have the relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification.
    •  Candidate must have served as a Principal/Estate Management Assistant in a similar institution or organisation for at least 4 years, must be computer literate and be conversant with the relevant software

    Chief Procurement Assistant

    The Chief Procurement Assistant shall perform duties relating to procurement of goods, services and works, including:

    •  Supervision of the procurement selection of the college
    •  Preparation of procurement plans for goods, works and services
    •  Assisting in ensuring adherence to procurement regulations as contained in the procurement act 2003, Act 663 and any other regulatory framework
    •  Formulation of procurement plans and strategies
    •  Assisting ni the processing of tenders and advertisement
    •  Preparation of tender bids
    •  Supervising the maintenance and updating of proper database of suppliers, service providers and consultants
    •  Assisting in monitoring contracts to ensure conformance and compliance of procurement request with contract terms
    •  Compilation of procurement request from user Departments for action, etc.

    Qualification Required & Experience

    •  The Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree awarded by a recognised institution or relevant professional qualification. He/She must have served as a Principal Procurement Assistant in a college of Education or comparable grade in a similar institution or organisation for at least 4 years.     Assistant College Secretary (Human Resource Management)

    The Assistant Secretary (Human Resource) shall:

    •  Serve as the professional and head of Human Resource Management under the college Secretary
    •  Assist the college secretary in all human resource management matters of the college
    •  Manage absence, disciplinary and grienvances issues (including staff records, leave registers, promotion, performance records etc)
    •  Be responsible for preparing and posting job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting candidates, arranging interviews and selecting and recruiting candidates
    •  Organise and manage probation and induction for new staff
    •  Implement traniing and development agenda
    •  Undertake regular salary reviews and performance appraisals
    •  Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in respect of all matters relating to personnel, wages, salaries compensation and related matters
    •  Ensure all colleges policies and procedures are up to data and in line with current employment law and ensuring that personnel are up to date with any change in policy

    Qualification Required & Experience

    •  The applicant must hold a good first degree and a postgraduate degree or equivalent qualification in the subject area. He/She must have served as Human Resource Manager in a similar institution for at least 4 years and must be computer literate and conversant with relevant software

    College Librarian

    The College Librarian provides leadership in advancing the College’s teaching and research mission through a clear vision of the library’s role, comprehensive strategic planning, incorporation of emerging technology, sound fiscal management and engagement of all members inf the college community. He/She has the overall responsibility for library, research and information needs of the college. The duties and responsibilities of the College librarian include:

    •  Serving as the professional and administrative Head of the College library
    •  Establishing and maintaining procedures, policies and systems that make for efficient library operation
    •  Drawing up and monitoring the implementation of college library strategic plan
    •  Directing and coordinating the components of the library including staff, services, collections and external relations
    •  Planning, organizing, coordinating and measuring the work and activities of all library personnel
    •  Representing the library in contacts with Administration and committees of the college
    •  Collaborating with relevant and appropriate institutional libraries and organisations within and outside the country in order to keep up with development rends and attain exposure to developed systems

    Qualification Required & Experience

    • Applicant must possess a postgraduate degree in library and information related fields. He/She must have served as Deputy Librarian in a college of Education or comparable grade in a similar institution/organisation for at least 4 years.

    In addition, applicant must be:

    College Internal Auditor

    he Internal Auditor will provide an independent objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve the college’s operations. He/She will help the college accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic approach to evaluate and improve risk management, control and governance processes. The key responsibilities of the internal auditor include:

    •  Ensuring the establishment and operation of an efficient and effective financial control system
    •  Monitoring and ensuring expenditures incurred have been authorised and are within budgetary provision
    •  Scrutinising all proposed exenditure to ensure compliance with laid down internal control systems and other statutory requirement
    •  Determining the reliability and adequacy of accounting, financial and operational controls in the college
    •  Evaluating the procedures of the college to determine whether results are consistent with stated objectives and goals
    •  Monitoring compliance with established policies, plans and procedures.
    •  Appraising the quality of performance of those carrying out assigned responsibilities
    •  Assessing the extent to which assets are accounted for and safeguarded against losses
    •  Ensuring that reliable records form the basis for the preparation of appropriate financial and other data provided for decision-making
    •  Drawing the Principal’s attention to deficiencies in the system, instances of duplicated functions, waste or other inefficiencies with recommendation for remedies where necessary
    •  Carrying out special reviews of accounting and internal controls systems with the view to minimising weaknesses

    Qualification Required & Experience

    •  Applicant must hold a good first degree or comparable qualification in addition to a relevant professional qualification and a master’s degree in the relevant area
    •  He/She must be a member of a recognised accountancy professional association as well as a member of the institute of internal/professional auditors
    •  He/She must have served as a Deputy Internal Auditor in a college of Education or comparable grade in a similar institution / organisation for at least 4 years

    College Finance Officer

    The Finance Officer’s position is a top management position heading a major division of the college. The Finance Officer:

    •  Is the Chief Accounting Officer of the College and The Chief Financial Advisor to the College Principal
    •  Has the responsibility for the administration of the financial affairs of the college that would ensure its financial health
    •  Exercises direct supervision of the all Accounting Officers
    •  Is responsible for collecting all legitimate revenue due to the college
    •  Exercises control over expenditure in line with the college’s objectives and budgets
    •  Has the duty of preparing the annual budget of the college for presentation to the appropriate Governing body for approval and implementation
    •  Is responsible for ensuring that the financial statements of the college, accounting standards and other relevant national laws are adhered to
    •  Liaises with appointed external auditors to get the college’s financial statements audited

    Qualification Required & Experience

    •  Applicants must hold a good first degree or comparable qualification, plus a professional qualification and a master’s in Finance.
    •  He/She must be a member of a recognised accountancy professional association as well as a member of the institute of Chartered Accountants
    •  He/she must have served as a Deputy Finance Officer in a college of Education or comparable grade in a similar institution/organization for at least 4 years.

    In addition, applicant must:

    •  Be analytical, critical , result-oriented, innovative and visionary
    •  Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills

    College Secretary

    The College Secretary is the Head of the College Secretariat and the Chief Administrator of the college and reports directly to the College Principal. His/her duties include:

    •  Assisting the College Principal in the day-to-day administration and management of the college
    •  Be the secretary to the College Governing Council, all statutory committees, as well as all standing committees of councils
    •  Be responsible for the coordination of the college’s strategic planning, policy formulation and implementation
    •  Be in charge of the administration, secretarial, and personal matters of the college
    •  Any other function as amy be assigned by the Governing Council Chairman or the college Principal

    Qualification Required & Experience

    Applicant must:

    •  Hold a first degree and a minimum of a master’s degree in Administration and Management related fields
    •  Have served as Deputy College Secretary of College of Education of Senior Assistant Registrar in a University or Comparable grade in a similar institution for at least 4 years
    •  Must have knowledge in Human Resource management
    •  Have considerable knowledge, experience and understanding of the Tertiary Education structures in Ghana
    •  Be capable of planning, organizing, implementing and administratively managing all activities associated with the office of college secretary
    •  Be able to effectively work under pressure to meet deadlines

    College Vice Principal

    The College Vice Principal shall assist the College Principal in the overall Management, Administration, Academic and Disciplinary issues of the college in accordance with the colleges of Education Act 2012 (Act 847)

    •  He or she shall act in the absence of the college Principal among other duties

    Qualification Required & Experience

    The Vice Principal of the College must:

    •  Have a good character and a high degree of personal integrity
    •  Be a distinguished teacher and a scholar in teaching and learning
    •  Be at least a Principal Tutor in the college of Education
    •  Have a minimum of 5 years cumulative publications, 3 of which must have been published in a recognised peer reviewed journals
    •  Have good knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing the colleges of Education in Ghana
    •  Be able to complete at least one term of 3 years before attaining the compuslory retirement age of 60
